Kira practices from a strength based and holistic perspective. She recognizes the vulnerability and courage it takes in seeking help, and provides a safe and healing environment for clients to experience change and growth. Kira’s individualistic approach to therapy allows clients to feel empowered in their healing journey. She works collaboratively with clients to help them cultivate strong relationships by identifying and addressing toxic and unhealthy patterns.
Kira graduated from Michigan State University with her B.A. in Family and Community Services and a Graduate Degree in Clinical Social Work. She has utilized her education,
experience, and insight to provide crisis intervention and therapeutic services to youth and families in community, academic, judicial, clinical, and residential settings.
She provided direct therapeutic support to victims of sexual assault, pregnant and parenting teens, youth with reactive attachment disorder, and individuals with mood disorders. She has had additional training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy, and Sand Tray Therapy.
