Biography

Born in Florida, Alison was raised in Clarkston, Michigan. She attended Oakland University and earned a Bachelors in Social Work with a minor in Musical Theater. She then continued to the advanced standing program at Wayne State University, where she graduated with honors when she obtained her Masters in Social Work.

Alison provides an inclusive, compassionate, and accepting environment where her clients can examine their behaviors and history without judgement. Using a strengths-based approach, Alison helps her clients identify their strengths so they can determine patterns and areas they want to improve. She works with them to develop techniques and strategies so they can achieve their goals.

As someone who was fortunate enough to receive her ADHD diagnosis at an early age, Alison is passionate about helping other individuals dealing with the same diagnosis, and specializes in treating women who were diagnosed as adults. Alison also enjoys working with individuals dealing with anxiety or depression, LGBTQIA+ folks, individuals facing life transitions, new parents, and people who just need to talk with someone.

If you are somebody who is looking for a kind place to land, look no further. I will meet you where you are and help you get to where you want to be. We all have hard times, but you don’t have to go through it alone.
